This is a bug BALM for repelling insects away and helping to prevent bug bites. I wanted to create a balm for a few reasons:

  1. Sprays often are irritating to kids and end up in our airway and lungs more than on our skin. They also wash off easily.

  2. This balm is microbial friendly and safe for babies to adults.

  3. Kids and adults can easily apply this balm even on faces without fear of it seeping into eyes.

I created and started using this a year ago after my second born was getting BIT UP by tons of insects. We tested it for a year and now I am releasing the finished product to you! Low and slow infused helios farm tallow with basil is combined with beeswax, cocoa butter, jojoba oil infused with anti-bug herbs, and a gentle and appropriate amount of essential oils. This makes the balm water resistant and protecting.

Ingredients:

  • Basil infused Helios Farm tallow

  • Cocoa butter

  • Beeswax

  • Jojoba oil infused with lavender + lemon balm + uva ursi + catnip

  • Geranium + cedarwood + peppermint + citronella + lavender + eucalyptus essential oil

  • Vanilla absolute

Melting point of 105 degrees fahrenheit
